Hello all!
As we head into the tail end of summer, it's been a bit of a busy one with a lot of private gigs, a month-long run of subbing on bass for San Lyon, and hosting the Exhibition Room three weeks in a row while Ellen was out traveling. It was unfortunate that for the first time in 4 years Holy Crow didn't get the Knott's Summer Nights contract, but thankfully other shows made up for it.
September brings the Los Angeles International Ukulele Festival for my birthday weekend, and I'll be teaching a U-bass workshop, and likely performing with some of the other artists. And speaking of teaching, in October I'll be teaching a workhop and leading a strum along for the Plucking Strummers on October 10. From there, we'll see where the rest of the year brings, and for all my upcoming public shows, click here!
I'm also starting to contact Ukulele Festivals for 2027, if you have one that you'd like me to hit up, please let me know.
2025 RECAP
Bright spots - getting to go to Bernadette "Plazi" Plazola's Strum in the Desert Festival, hanging out at the Orange County Ukulele Festival, getting to play the final Dapper Day Expo at the Disneyland Hotel with Big Butter, and teaching for the first time at the Centrum Foundation's Ukulele Festival in May up in Port Townsend, WA.
In June I taught for Starlight Ukes' UkeWest Online Festival, and started the annual series of dates with Holy Crow Jazz Band at Knott's Berry Farm.
In mid-July I went to the Midwest Ukulele and Harmonica Camp in Toledo, OH for the first time and had a great time teaching U-bass, and got to return again to Port Townsend for Centrum's Acoustic Blues Festival.
September brought the annual Los Angeles Ukulele Festival where I backed up my pal Bernadette Mata and in October I got to return to the fantastic Reno Ukulele Festival, and once again played for the Anaheim Fall Festival with the Big Butter Jazz Band.
For Q4, I've got 3 duo dates in November at the Exhibition Room in Long Beach, and December is still filling out.
